It measures the AC current flowing in the cable without the need to cut it. The measurement takes place after installing the magnetic clamp on a single current cable. The sensor will not indicate anything if it is placed on the current and neutral cable at the same time. At the sensor output appears an alternating voltage proportional to the current flowing. The sensor can be used to measure AC current through the analog inputs INPA1-4 in Lan Controller v3.
