An application that simplifies work with tinycontrol devices. It includes functions for finding them in the local network (Discovery function) and updating the firmware.

The Discovery function allows you to find in the network LK devices: HW 4.0, HW 4.0 mini, HW 3.5+ SW 1.26+, HW 2.5, HW 2.0 and tcPDU. The application presents found devices with parameters such as their IP addresses, names, MAC addresses, model and HW and SW versions.

Its main purpose is to simplify the search for devices in networks with a DHCP server.

If devices have static IP addresses that do not belong to the address classes of the network in which the computer on which the function was run is located, they will not be detected. For example, LK with a static address of in a network with an address class of 192.168.1.X will not be detected, but LK with the address will be.

Firmware update

The function allows you to easily update the firmware of LK devices: HW 4.0, HW 4.0 mini, HW 3.5+, HW 3.0, HW 2.5, HW 2.0 and tcPDU.

To update the firmware:

  1. If the device supports discovery, you can use it by clicking Find tinycontrol devices, then selecting the found device in the list, clicking Use the IP address in the Flasher. This way, the firmware update form will include the device's IP address. Optionally, you can simply enter the address in the field.
  2. Complete the login data fields (Username and Password). If Basic Authentication is not enabled on the device, they can be omitted because they are then irrelevant.
  3. In the Firmware field, select the downloaded firmware file. You can use the Get the latest firmware function to download the latest stable firmware available on The function will try to identify the device indicated by the IP address, check the availability of firmware for it and download it. Then information will be displayed with the option to take action: visit the page with a list of firmware changes, update the firmware with the found firmware file or cancel the action.
  4. If the Get the latest firmware function was not used, you can run the update by pressing the Flash the firmware to the device button and wait for the result.
